About Scholar Comment

Fostering academic discussion and scholarly engagement through open dialogue about research and researchers.

Our Mission

Scholar Comment is designed to create a space where academic discourse can thrive. By connecting Google Scholar profiles with discussion forums, we enable researchers, students, and academic enthusiasts to engage in meaningful conversations about scholarly work and its impact.

We believe that open, respectful discussion enhances the academic community and helps advance knowledge through collaborative engagement.

Open Discussion

No barriers to entry. Share your thoughts, ask questions, and engage with others without the need for complex registration processes.

Global Community

Connect with researchers and academics from around the world. Share diverse perspectives on scholarly work and research methodologies.

Respectful Environment

Built-in moderation tools and community guidelines ensure discussions remain constructive and focused on academic merit.

Accessible Platform

Designed with accessibility in mind, supporting multiple languages and optimized for various devices and connection speeds.

How It Started

The idea for Scholar Comment emerged from the recognition that while Google Scholar provides excellent access to academic profiles and publications, it lacks a platform for community discussion and peer interaction.

By simply replacing the domain name in any Google Scholar URL, users can immediately access a discussion forum dedicated to that specific researcher's work. This seamless integration bridges the gap between discovery and discourse in academic research.

Our goal is to supplement, not replace, existing academic platforms by providing a dedicated space for the kind of informal but valuable discussions that happen at conferences, in labs, and between colleagues.
